CONSIDER RESTORING IT YOURSELF:

PARTS LIST OF ITEMS FOR RESTORING A JANSEN BENCH YOURSELF?

The following parts are original production items from Jansen. These parts will help you to bring your
old Jansen bench back to near-new condition. The work requires only normal mechanical ability. We
are the only ones worldwide making this available to our customers. Perhaps you don't need a new bench--
Perhaps you could keep the old one in use by restoring it.

Suggestions for changing moving parts:

1. Buy a tube of LockTite at the hardware store. Make sure is is REMOVABLE LockTite so that you
can remove the parts later to service the bench. Apply the LockTite ONLY to the threads of the bolts
as you assemble them. This sill prevent the bolt from loosening and damaging the threads. Be sure the
threads of the bolts etc are bone dry when you apply the LockTite. Add grease carefully to only the
moving or bearing points.
2. While at the hardware store, buy a metal handle soldering flux brush. They are cheap. Use this to apply
a very modest amount of grease (not oil) to the moving parts bearing points as you assembly the new parts.
Any grease will be fine, but white lithium grease will not stain as badly if you happen to get too much and
it drips on the floor.

New Wood Rim and Foam for top of an Artist Bench for do-it-yourselfer This is the part of the bench that moves up and down. If you have a bench that has taken damage to the wood structure or upholstering, you could replace only the top wood and foam part and add new upholstering material. Jansen has agreed to "Drop Ship" to our customers in the USA.  
That means the merchandise will be shipped directly
from Jansen's Factory to YOU without coming through our office.
Your product will arrive sooner this way.

CHECKING ON YOUR ORDER

Call us for all follow up questions concerning your order.
Please DO NOT call Jansen to check on orders.
They do NO retail business,
and they have no records of details concerning your order.
When people violate this, the Jansens often actually make
the situation worse since they are interrupted from normal
production in order to talk to you. You will not be pleased doing this.

RETURNS:

Please don't just order a bench to have a look.  
Check it out FIRST. Send E-Mail-- ask questions.
You may want to visit a show room in your area and look at a bench.

On all Jansen products....
We reserve the right to charge a 20% restocking fee at our discretion.
All returns of Jansen products must be returned to them.
NEVER return merchandise without calling us at (800) 338-8863 to make arrangements.
You may own the product and never see it again. Let's do it right!
If a bench or product is returned damaged, Jansen will have the last word
as to further charges to you which will be deducted from any credit back to you.
This may be over and above the restocking fee.
RETURN ALL BENCHES IN THE CARTON IN WHICH THEY CAME TO YOU.
Be sure to insure all returns for the original cost of the item.
If a bench of product arrives damaged in shipping, DO NOT even
remove it from the carton-- call us, and we call Jansen, and Jansen
arranges for UPS to come and examine the damage and return the item.
If you proceed to open a damaged carton and assemble the bench
and / or discard the carton, you will have to accept the product damaged.
