THE SECOND BOSTON TEA PARTY
Sponsored by the UK

On Wednesday, Dec. 16, 1998, the British Govern- ment made official apology for the taxes levied by their short sighted King long ago.  The tax in question was on tea, and it was this tax which inspired the Masonic Lodge of Boston to dress up like Indians and pitch the latest load of tea into Boston harbor.

The British apology came only 225 years late to the day, but the citizens of Boston don't hold grudges, so they gladly accepted the apology from the British.  The Brooke Bond Tea Company sent actor Tom Baker to Boston.  He played Dr. Who in the famous time-travel TV series.

To show the UK is truly contrite over the tea tax, "ambassadors" were on hand to brew a pot of tea and serve Bostonians the tea, AND not a penny of tax was charged.

On behalf of the rest of the USA, the Freemasons of Boston, and the readers of this Journal, let us take this opportunity to congratulate the British Government, Tony Blair, and the British people for this excellent gesture of good will.  I am sure the Royal Family would not possibly harbor any reluctance to seek the good welfare of the USA, in spite of those claims by some that the British elite are the ones pushing Bill Clinton into the Middle East in order to trash the US.  How could anyone possibly think such a thought?

Have a cup of tea folks.
