BILL COSBY LIGHTS A FIRE
-- Under Jesse Jackson and Black diddlers
This page is based on the very timely and courageous effort of Bill Cosby to force America to face the Black issues honestly. We commend the man, and we call all Black AND White Christians to lead the way in the Lord's Church so that Jesus Christ and his Church will be the model for life in the Black community.
BILL COSBY'S POWERFUL MOMENT
BILL COSBY: Tough Talk That Might Make a Difference
In the presence of NAACP President Kweisi Mfume and other African-American leaders, comedian Bill Cosby took aim at blacks who don't take responsibility for their economic status, blame police for incarcerations and teach their kids poor speaking habits. Cosby made his remarks at a Constitution Hall event in Washington Monday night commemorating the 50th anniversary of the Brown vs. Board of Education decision that paved the way for integrated schools, reported Richard Leiby in his Reliable Source column for the Washington Post.
Leiby said Cosby's remarks were met with "astonishment, laughter and applause." When Cosby finally concluded, Leiby said, Mfume, Howard University President H. Patrick Swygert and NAACP legal defense fund head Theodore Shaw came to the podium looking "stone-faced."
Shaw told the crowd most people on welfare are not African American. He insisted many of the problems his organization addresses among blacks are not self-inflicted. Cosby said, according to Leiby: "Ladies and gentlemen, the lower economic people are not holding up their end in this deal. These people are not parenting. They are buying things for kids – $500 sneakers for what? And won't spend $200 for 'Hooked on Phonics.'
He added: "They're standing on the corner and they can't speak English. I can't even talk the way these people talk: 'Why you ain't,' 'Where you is' ... And I blamed the kid until I heard the mother talk. And then I heard the father talk. ... Everybody knows it's important to speak English except these knuckleheads. ... You can't be a doctor with that kind of crap coming out of your mouth!"
The Post said Cosby also targeted imprisoned blacks.
"These are not political criminals," he said. "These are people going around stealing Coca-Cola. People getting shot in the back of the head over a piece of pound cake and then we run out and we are outraged, [saying] 'The cops shouldn't have shot him.' What the hell was he doing with the pound cake in his hand?"
Peterson, an African-American leader who has promoted a path vastly different from the mainstream black "activists," says Cosby, speaking in the presence of NAACP leadership, hit the nail on the head. "Bill Cosby is right!" Peterson declared in a statement. "It's about time that high-profile blacks openly spoke the truth about the problems in the black community."
But, Whites need to be careful they don't just stand by and wait for the agressive Black kid to try to climb out of his hole. Help the kid! Editor

RESPONSES
Dear Steve,Thanks for posting Bill Cosby's comments about black people on your website. As a black person, I see first hand the idiocy (sp?) that goes on in the black community. The problems go far deeper than what Mr. Cosby touched on, though. Black teenage girls are still getting pregnant by black men who are on a conquest to see how many babies they can make and still get away without paying child support. Black couples are still opting to live together instead of getting married because if the mother of a child is not married, she can remain on welfare. Thank God the laws are changing or have changed limiting the number of years one family can remain on welfare. Many of the churches in the black communities are partly to blame. Most black preachers refuse to preach on sin. They refuse to preach from God's Word. They spend an entire church service speaking their own words based on one or two passages from Scripture, instead of allowing the Word of God to speak for itself.
Many churches are preaching a "social gospel" along the lines of Martin Luther King, Jr. Many of the people in the congregations are the same ones that are having babies out of wedlock, living homosexual lives, or selling drugs. Don't get me wrong, there are many good black churches out there that do preach the truth. But there are so many more that don't care how people are living, as long as the money keeps rolling in. There are even some preachers that divorce their wives and live the lifestyles of the single young men in their communities (but in secret). There have been several instances that I know of where a preacher will have an affair with a single woman. Once the affair is exposed, the woman is told that she is no longer welcome, but the preacher remains in the pulpit and the congregation keeps his pedestal under him. Many black pastors either ignore what is happening in their communities or they sugar-coat everything, making excuses for the people's behaviors. Bill Cosby only touched on a very small part of the problem.
And NAACP folks don't have a clue. They are still blaming white people for all our problems.
Also, black politicians do exploit black people in this country. For example, Al Sharpton came to prominence because a black teenager falsely claimed that she was raped by a white man. His was the loudest voice at that time speaking out against this alleged atrocity without even weighing the evidence. When it was discovered that the girl lied, his voice got even louder in order to keep him in the forefront of the black political scene. These people are vultures flying around waiting for some dead negro to fall so they can pick their hides clean. They grow fat while black people are further declining both spiritually and socially. Although there are some black men in prison who have been falsely accused, most black men in the prison system refused to work for "the white man" and have chosen to make money the quick, easy way, either by stealing it or by selling drugs. Black fathers would rather dress their two-year-old children in the latest fashion and jewelry with their drug money rather than making an honest living to provide food for them. They would rather risk going to jail in their evil pursuit of money than to be a real father who will be around to teach ttheir children right from wrong.
Anyway, sorry for my using your email to vent, but it just angers me when I think about how black people have digressed since the civil rights movement, which in my opinion was a movement straight from the pit of hell. How black people have been treated in this country was sickening. But for black people to abandon faith in God to follow the tactics of a pagan hindu activist named Gandhi instead of following the Word of God... well, that just stinks also.
Okay, I'm finished venting.
Love in Christ,
KB

I was looking for info on Bill Cosby when I "stumbled" across your website. Thank you for saying so many of the things I've been thinking! I am white, I am a Christian, I work with black and white children in a reading program and mission organizations on Weds. nights at church. I discovered the reading problems during our GA (Girls in Action Baptist missions organization) about 5 or 6 years ago. I was shocked to find that children can't read. I am glad to say, Praise the Lord, we have really seen improvement in the last 5 years as we allow these children to read to us week after week. We have tried and are trying to deal with the speech and grammar problems. We realize that they each speak the way their household speaks and it is really tough trying to overcome years of what they have heard. Some of the children can't even hear that they are saying a word incorrectly. i.e. street/skreet the letter r and cr cu qu blends. But, I have tried to encourage them to take pride in themselves, get out of the mold they are in, be somebody, that they can change the way they speak and learn to speak clearly and distinctly. Please pray for our programs and these children. Thanks for the comments on your website. I haven't read all of them yet, but I plan to.
Thanks for "listening!"
