BENDING A HAMMER SHANK VERTICALLY

CAUTION:  Since you heated the hammer, it is slightly weakened.  Don't over-bend it and break it.

Also, I suggest that you not do this job with dear little five year old Johnny watching.  He may later want to "bend the piano" also, right?
